How To Remove Your Blog and Posts from Google Search Index

Removing your blog and it posts from Google Search engine or any other search engines might occur if you want to move your blog your to a new one (blog). This will help avoid copyrighted materials in your new blog after you have backup contents from the old blog and imported to the new blog for continuation because deleting the blog will not prevent you from having duplicate contents on your new blog.

De-inducing your blog and it posts from Google Search Index depicts that your blog url and it posts won't display on Google anymore. You can do this via google webmaster tool (if you have added and verify your blog in Google webmaster tools) and you can also do this by adding the NOINDEX TAG inside your blog. This was what i did to my former blog url before moving and redirecting posts also.

How To?

The how to guide will guide you on how you can remove your blog posts from google index and search listings.

1. Blogger Basic Settings

In your blogger basic settings, you can choose or tell whether google should list your blog I'm it search listings. If you have enabled yes, you have to disble it. This is the first thing you should do before going into other method of de-indexing blog and it posts from Google Search. To do this,

==> Go to your blogger dashboard
==> From the left menu, click "Settings" >> "Basic"
==> Behind "Privacy" there is a message that says "Listed on Blogger. Visible to search engines."
==> Click the edit link and choose no in both options and

==> Finally, click "save changes"

2 Add a "noindex" metatag and/or a "nofollow" metatag.

If you want google to easily de-indexing an entire webpage, and/or de-indexing the links on an entire webpage. Using a metatag to prevent a page from appearing in SERPs -- and/or the links on a page is both easy and effective.

This requires only a small of technical knowledge in fact, it's really just a copy/paste job if you’re using the right content management system.

The tags that let you do these things are called "noindex" and "nofollow." Before I get into how to add these tags, let's take a moment to define and distinguish between the two. They are, after all, two completely different directives -- and they can be used either on their own, or alongside one another.

What's a "noindex" tag?

Adding a "noindex" metatag to a webpage or blog, it tells a search engine that to can crawl the page, but should not add the page into its search index.

So any page with the "noindex" tag on it will not go into the search engine's search index, and can therefore not be shown in search engine results pages.

What's a "nofollow" tag?

Adding a "nofollow" metatag to a webpage or blog, it stops search engines from crawling the links on that page. This also means that any ranking authority the page has on SERPs will not be passed on to pages it links to.

Therefore any page with a "nofollow" tag on it will have all its links ignored by Google and other search engines.

When would you use "noindex" and "nofollow" separately vs. together?

Like I said before, you can put add a "noindex" directive either on its own, or together with a "nofollow" directive. You can also add a "nofollow" directive on its own, too.

Add only a "noindex" tag: when you don't want a search engine to index your web page in search, but you do want it to follow the links on that page -- thereby giving ranking authority to the other pages your page links to.

Paid landing pages are a great example of this. You don't want search engines to index landing pages in search that people are supposed to pay to see, but you might want the pages it links to benefit from its authority.

Add only a "nofollow" tag: when you do want a search engine to index your web page in search, but you don't want it to follow the links on that page.

There aren't too many examples of when you'd add a "nofollow" tag to a whole page without also adding a "noindex" tag. When you're figuring out what to do on a given page, it's more a question of whether to add your "noindex" tag with or without a "nofollow" tag.

Add both a "noindex" and "nofollow" tag: when you don't want search engines to index a webpage in search, and you don't want it to follow the links on that page.

Thank-you pages are a great example of this type of situation. You don't want search engines to index your thank-you page, nor do you want them to follow the link to your offer and start indexing the content of that offer, either.

How to Add a "noindex" and/or a "nofollow" metatag

==> Log in into your blogger dashboard on WordPress admin cpanel
==> Click "Theme" >> "Edit HTML"
==> Make the html page load completely. Then tap anywhere in the html code area and click CTRL + F (for Mac PC use Cmd + f)
==> Copy one of the following tags.

For "noindex":

<META NAME="robots" CONTENT="noindex">

For "nofollow":

<META NAME="robots" CONTENT="nofollow">

For both "noindex" and "nofollow":

<META NAME="robots" CONTENT="noindex,nofollow">

==> Paste any of these meta tags right below the <head> section of your webpage or blog.
==> Save your theme.

This should start working after 48 hours. Your posts should be disappearing from Google by now.

3. Google Webmasters Tools : Remove URLs

The Google webmaster remove URLs tools can also help you de-index your blog and it posts especially blog url from Google cache. This can only be done if you have added and verify your blog on Google webmasters tools. To do this,

==> Sign in to your Google Webmasters Tools Dashboard
==> Click the URL you want to de-index
==> Click Google Index >> Remove URL

==> click temporarily hide and click on continue next to the box provided

==> The next page, you will be prompted to submit request of removing your blog from Google. Click "Submit Request"

Your request will be submitted immediately and it takes just 2 days to show effect and takes a total count of 90 days (2 months to work fully). This was the tricks I used in my former blog so as to avoid duplicate contents or copyrighted materials on this blog.

I hope this helps.

Cheers.

Top 5 Must Do SEO Things Before Publishing Your Blog Posts or Articles

As a blogger, you will love your blog posts or articles to hit the first and front page of search engines. This can be done by effective SEO in your blog and inside your blog post. Search Engine Optimization today is the life of every blog or website. However, there are many of articles written on topic here..

Top 5 Must Do SEO Things Before Publishing Your Blog Posts or Articles

There are too many SEO techniques out there which most bloggers have implemented and applied on their blogs. Apart from normal SEO Bloggers do in their blog, there are some basic, simple and tricky must do SEO that should be done before publishing blog posts which are not noticed by bloggers especially the newbie.

These SEO techniques are must do SEO things one must do before publishing a post on his or her blog. This will make their post title get crawled and also their post keywords.

Top 5 Must Do SEO Things Before Publishing Your Blog Posts

1. Optimize Post Title

Post Title plays a very essential role in SERPs and generates the CTR (Click Through Rate).
Your blog post getting ranked in Google SERPs first page doesn't matter. What matters is the title. The title must be eye catchy that will make visitors click them. It happens that pages ranked below/above which are having the eye catchy title get more clicks even if you have written a informative or non-informative article. Though, posts contents are not shown in search results, it is only the title and description which matters.

There are always 9 other results on Google's first page along with your post so what makes your article or post different from others' and gain clicks or traffic is the Title of The Post. Therefore, you should write an eye catchy title for your blog post.

Let look at an insight example of two results on Google SERPs for a search query "Airtel "Ovajara X8" Bonus on SmartConnect 4.0":
1) "Airtel "Ovajara X8" Bonus on SmartConnect 4.0"
2) "Activate New Airtel "Ovajara X8" Bonus on SmartConnect 4.0"

Top 5 Must Do SEO Things Before Publishing Your Blog Posts or Articles

In the above two results, which one seems to be eye catchy? Of-course the first result is tend to generate more clicks and traffics. However, always take note of your post title before publishing your post to web.

2) Optimize Post URL/Link

Another must do seo thing you should do before publishing your new blog post is optimizing your post link or url. Url should be optimized because search engines like Google, pay attention to URLs. Link Optimization is easy for Blogger.com platform users via the Permalink feature. Permalink feature was introduced in 2012 but it unfortunate that only a few bloggers utilizes it because they don't know what it is meant for.

The Blogger's Permalink feature enables you to edit post's URL when not yet published. In a situation where you enter the title of a new post, blogger automatically generates the post URL which might exclude the main keywords of your post title because there are only first 30 characters picked from the title and here is where Permalink works. It helps you to edit and add more word to the link.

Permalink can be found on right side in blogger post editor under the Post Settings.

example: Title "Top 5 Must Do SEO Things Before Publishing Your Blog Posts or Articles"

Blogger Will Generate The URL Automatically: http://www.ogbongetechs.com/2017/08/top-5-must-do-seo-things-before.html

Top 5 Must Do SEO Things Before Publishing Your Blog Posts or Articles

As seen in the URL above generated by blogger automatically is missing some of our main keywords "Publishing Your Blog Posts or Articles" so the URL is not as eye catchy as the post title and we can make it relevant by editing in Permalink: http://www.ogbongetechs.com/2017/08/top-5-must-do-seo-things-before-publishing-your-new-blog-post-or-article.html

By editing the URL permalink above, I added "publishing-your-new-blog-post-or-article" keyword which makes look attractive and eye catchy that could bring traffics.

3. Images

Your blog image do better and should be considered while seo optimizing your new blog posts. If you don't know how to do image seo, don't worry I have prepared two articles that will make your blog post images rank high high in search engines.

One essential SEO optimization for image before I refer to another post is adding the alt and title tags to your blogger blog image. Now you can read How To Optimize Blogger Blog Post Images for Better SEO

4. Hyperlinks

Hyperlink is also known as interlinking which involes linking back from a post to another older post(s) of your blog. Only few bloggers especially tech bloggers utilizes this feature. Hyperlinking is an important task every blogger must practice. It makes post more interesting and Cam. Improve CTR of your blog and it bounce rate and user engagement.

As a tech blogger, if I write an article, it is possible that it contains other keyworuds on which I have already written some articles so this time, i have the opportunity to link back to those older posts from these words. Using Hyperlink in your blog post helps search engines crawl your blog. If you are using interlinking in your blog posts, you can learn : How To Optimize Blog Post Hyperlink

5. Grammer Checking

You should check your grammar after writing your post. This is not done by bloggers and it very bad because you might end up reading error when the post has been published. There are some tools that you can use to check your gammer after writing your blog post.

In blogger, you can easily check the spelling of your blog post before publishing. This tool is available at the top page of your blogger editors page. It has the ABC icon.

You can easily click on it to help you find some incorrect word. It unfortunate that it can't help find incorrect or incomplete sentences. Blogger check spelling helps you detect an incorrect word. When you use this feature, you will see the incorrect word in yellow background

Top 5 Must Do SEO Things Before Publishing Your Blog Posts or Articles

Conclusion

Believe me, if these top 5 must do SEO are properly taken and considered by you, there is no reason why your post should hit the first page of search engines. However, it should be done with care. You must always remember to do these because it could help your post rank high and craa quickly on search engines. How To Successfully Purchase or Sell Google AdSense Account Online

The rate of adsense scam by bloggers or people in Nigeria is getting high, however disturbing the blogosphere. I have read may post on blogs and forums about people being scammed of AdSense account. Last year, I read a post on how a person was scammed of NGN40,000 for a Nigeria AdSense Account and how some hidden guys are selling hosted account to newbies thinking it is non hosted.

How To Successfully Purchase or Sell Google AdSense Account Online

Recently, a member published on ogbongeblog planet that his google adsense was hijacked by a buyer who promised to pay after been added to the adsense, but unfortunately the seller admin and the buyer hijacked it without paying.

My main motive of writing this post is to stop adsense scamming and teach how to buy or sell adsense account online successfully without been scammed and i will also recommended a trusted seller and buyer of adsense.

BUYER

1. Buyers, to avoid being cammed if you want to purchase or buy a google adsense account from a seller, you must have known the seller very well and maybe ask how many client he has sold adsense to with proof.

2. You should get a middle man who will hold your payment and will send it to seller once you (buyer) have gotten full access to the adsense account as the owner.

3. You must make sure the adsense type is what you really need. Don't buy hosted when you want non-hosted. (This kind of scam is very common) To check if an Adsense is hosted or non-hosted, once you are added as a user to the adsense, click your profile at the right top of the adsense account. If it is hosted, you will see the label there that says 'hosted account'. If non hosted, you won't see anything there.

4. Make sure you check the AdSense country if you are a newbie. To check Adsense country, in the left menu if the adsense account, click "Settings" >> "Account" >> "Account Information". Here, you will the only the state, time zone and publisher id. The state determines where the adsense was approved. To check the AdSense country it self go to payment, and in the page that opens, click manage payment and the next page will display the country for the adsense account.

SELLER

Sellers, to avoid been scammed you must first of all add the buyer as a user and not admin in the Adsense account. If you add the buyer as admin when he or she has not paid you, he or she can hijack the adsense from you easilly. So buyers be careful.

You must have a middle when it has come to payment within you and your buyer. Your buyer might not trust you therefore you have to get a popular and trusted middle man.

Conclusion

If these tips are well taken by both parties, buyer wont be able scam seller and vice versa. Also, if you are a new to Adsense, you must take note above tips because the newbie are the ones that get scammed easily. As for the middle man, if you are finding it difficult to get a trusted middle man, I can recommend a trusted person for you and i will make sure i bear bear all risk. This post was also published on ogbongeblog planet.

I have been receiving many complaints and comments from readers on how to set up whogohost purchased domain on blogger and after searching, I didn't see any solution to give, so I decided to provide the solution here.

It is very unfortunate that indigenous domain registrar like Whogohost did not offer step by step tutorials on teaching people about their service like other domain registrar sites do. They dont offer tutorials on teaching users how to register a domain name neither teaching how to set it up in blogging platforms. Whogohost feels users can do so because same is being done in other domains registrars sites

Here today, i will teach you how to set up your Whogohost domain on your blogger blog. If you don't know how to purchase domain name, you can read how to purchase domain name and hosting from Whogohost Nigeria.

How To Get Started

Setting up your purchased custom domain from Whogohost to blogger is very easy. You don't have to stress to yourself doing CNAMEs and others.

Only few people are aware that Blogger CNAME setup is not included in whogohost dashboard. You will hardly see it on whogohost website but you can easily see it using these keywords search on Google. keyword : "whogohost to blogger"

To set up Whogohost domain on blogger blog, you have to go to Whogohost site to fill the blogger cname form which you can easily visit at https://www.whogohost.com/blogspot-CNAME.php

The above link is where you will set up your Whogohost domain on blogger by filling the required information.

In the box provided, input your custom domain name you have purchased from Whogohost including www (e.g www.your-blog-name.com). Then click save

You will get an error while saving the domain. These error include your cnames which you are going to use to set up your custom domain working. Copy these codes or stay on your browser tab

Fill in the required spaces using below image

Enter your email address (the one you used in registering for domain),

Input a pin

Enter your domain name including "www"

Next you will need to enter CNAME records, the first two "www" and "ghs.google.com" is already written for you.

And for the "subdomain 2' and "CNAME value 2" enter the bottom two values you get as error in blogger.

Once you are done click ‘Send CNAME Records’ to open a support ticket.

Once you get a mail from Whogohost saying the CName records have been added. Go back to blogger and re enter your custom domain. Now, it should work without error.

After your domain starts working, go back to the Blogger settings page and click edit url, there will be a box underneath your new domain for redirection.

How To Make Blogger Blog Logo To Display On All Pages Of Emporio Blogger Theme

Emporio is one among the blogger themes that was added recently to blogger theme dashboard. Emporio theme is a kind of theme i chose to use because it the it displays post in grid mode. Emporio Theme is also a mobile friendly theme that lets users navigate through pages easily.

If you are a blogger that installed the new Emporio blogger theme, that means you must be a pro because emporio blogger theme has to be tweaked before it can look good to you. Recently, i shared how I added my page links at the footer of my blog and here today i want to teach you how to make blogger blog logo display on all pages of your blogger blog.

By default, Emporio blogger theme doesn't not display blog logo on post and static pages, instead title displays. You can force the logo to start showing on post pages using my tweak.

How To Get Started

Log in into your blogger dashboard

Go to "Theme" in the left menu, click "Edit HTML"

Let the html code area load completely. Then tap anywhere in the code area and click CTRL F on your keyboard (for mac pc use CMD F)

Search for the follow code :

<header class='centered-top-container' role='banner'>
              <b:class cond='data:view.isSingleItem' name='sticky'/>
              <div class='centered-top'>

Replace "sticky" to "sticky1" to disable the sticky effect.

And if you notice there is a space above the header after implementing the script above, search for this :

.item-view .page_body {
    padding-top: 70px;
}
and replace or modify it to this :
.item-view .page_body {
    /* padding-top: 70px; */
}

Finally click "Save Theme".

Preview your blogger blog, you should seeing your blog displaying your header logo on all posts pages including static pages also.

Hope this tweak helps?

Cheers
